MPI MemberTOMember One Year Review

MPI Toronto On January 19, 2017

What a year it’s been! Since the launch of the MPI Toronto Chapter’s memberTOmember program on January 11, 2016 the Membership Committee has been working tirelessly to engage our community in the initiative. To date, the program has had some great successes including over $2M in total transactions recorded, the largest of which was $395,203.00!

The memberTOmember program was created to measure our membership connections, to promote doing business with fellow MPI Toronto Chapter members, and to reward members who are already doing business with others in our chapter. The trend-setter who conceptualized the program - Tim Whalen, CMP, Executive Meeting Manager at Fallsview Casino Resort – was recognized earlier this year at IncentiveWorks for the value the program’s innovation provides to our industry at large. In his own words, this is what Tim had to say about memberTOmember:

“For years we have been told that membership in MPI results in fantastic networking and lifelong connections. The memberTOmember program quantifies the results of our membership connections. Over Two Million Dollars was tracked in the first year of the program. It is my belief that if every member used the program religiously, we could track well over Ten Million in Transactions next year.”

With the word now out about memberTOmember, 2017 holds more potential than ever before for MPI members to prove ROI on their membership investment with the chapter…but it is the responsibility of us all to participate in the program. The transactions recorded are entirely confidential, the process is quick and simple (check out MPI Toronto’s LinkedIn page for a step-by-step guide to memberTOmember), and each month there is a prize drawn and awarded to one member who has logged a transaction within that month. Be sure to follow the #MPITOmTOm hashtag on Twitter to see if you’ve won, and for those of you yet to log your transactions, do so today and show your support for our chapter and dedication to our industry.
